Bathroom Exhaust Fan No Longer Working?  Get it Repaired and Save $$!

When your bathroom exhaust fan stops working, you might think it’s time to replace the entire unit.  However, before replacing the entire unit, consider repairing your existing exhaust fan.

Simple Bathroom Exhaust Fan Repair:

Most standard bathroom exhaust fans can be repaired with a simple replacement motor - which is a more affordable solution than replacing the whole unit.  There is really only one piece of the exhaust fan that has moving parts, which means that replacing the motor can result in a long-lasting solution for many bathroom exhaust fans.

Replacing the Entire Bathroom Exhaust Fan:

In some cases, a replacement motor cannot be found, or other service issues result in a full replacement of the exhaust fan being the better option.  In these cases, the old exhaust fan can be removed, and a new exhaust fan reconnected to the existing wiring and ductwork.

It is important to connect the ductwork properly, or the air coming out of the exhaust fan could go directly into the attic - raising the risk of moisture damage in the attic.  Also, improperly connected wiring could result in inoperability of the new exhaust fan, or worse, an electrical fire.
